New scorecard
My daughter Diana called me late this morning. She was losing the thread of who was who. So, for those of you trying to follow all this family information --
Stanley Leroy Newton (April 28, 1919-11/29/1989) and Joan Adair McDaniel (November 15, 1921-January 18, 1983) married and had two children - Judith Adair (May 1940) and ME - Nancie Ann (September 1944).
Stanley was the only child of Jesse Roy Newton (January 21, 1889 - April 11, 1953) and Julia June Auble (1892-198?).
Captain Walter H. Auble (1861-1908) was Julia's father. Florence Andrews was Julia's mother. Julia had a sister Gladys and a brother Earl.

Stanley and Joan divorced (1946) and Stanley married Lena who already had daughter Diane, divorced her and married Margaret (1958). They had one child, Catherine Elisabeth Newton (September 1959). They were divorced. Stanley married Selma.
Stanley died from complications (embolism) during prostate cancer surgery. Joan died at home of colon cancer which she had from 1976-1983.
Joan was born Jean Adair McDaniel, but legally had her name changed to Joan when she married Stanley. My birth certificate has Joan listed as the mother.
Joan was the only child of Lester Leona Sinnott (July 1904 - September 1971) and Fred P McDaniel. They were divorced and Leona married John, divorced and married John, divorced and married Frank Plummer (d.1968?). Leona had many sisters and brothers. She was the last of 14 children with her mother, Margaret Ann Burke Sennott, dying after giving birth to her (December 4, 1863 - July 23, 1904, St. Josphet's Cemetery in Escambia County Florida) . Leona's father was William J. Sennott, September 17, 1863 to March 15, 1922.
Leona had a sister Alberta who lived in Los Angeles and another sister Catherine who lived somewhere in the midwest. Leona died of a heart attack while hanging laundry in her backyard. She had had a previous heart attack at age 39 and suffered from arteriosclerosis. She smoked and ate a high cholesterol diet everyday of her life.
Joan married Stanley in 1939 and divorced him in 1946. She married Harvey Joseph Cantin in 1948 and had two daughters - Jan Paige (1948) and Cynthia Lee (1952).
So I have two sisters that I share a father with and I have two other sisters that I share my mother with. I have only one sister that I share both a mother and a father with (Judy).
Father died of cancer-related problems. Mother died of cancer. My greataunt Catherine had colon cancer. And here is the cancer-gallbladder thing among the sisters --
Judy - both gallbladder removed and early hysterectomy (heavy bleeding), later diagnosed with stage IIIA(?) endometrial cancer, most surgically removed May 2005, radiation therapy.
Nancie - gallbladder removed in June 1998 and late hysterectomy for stage IIB endometrial cancer in December 2004, radiation therapy.
Jan - free and clear (as far as I know)
Cindy - both gallbladder removed and early hysterectomy (heavy bleeding) to remove stage IA endometrial cancer in 199?.
Cathy - early hysterectomy (heavy bleeding) and stage ?? renal cancer tumor removed 2004, gallbladder removed 2005.
(note early and late refer to pre and post age 45).
I am thinking this is a typical 20th century family - blended and with a lot of smoking, drinking, sex and cancer.
